Radha Krishna Acrylic Painting
The traditional mural paintings of Kerala are a fine art of skill and creative excellence.
The murals of Kerala are unparalleled in their subtlety, sharpness and ethereal beauty. The most frequently used pigments in Kerala murals are red, yellow, green, white, blue, black, and golden-yellow. Kerala murals are a symbol of natural beauty and grace, elegance and simplicity and of pious devotion. Most of the noted mural works of Kerala were done between the 15th and 19th centuries and some even dating back to the 8th century.
Traditional murals used colors prepared from vegetable and mineral pigments. plant are squeezed and the extract is used after drying up. Wooden utensils are used for mixing the colors and the binding media used is derived from tender coconut water and extracts from the Neem tree. Ancient temples and palaces in Kerala, India, display an abounding tradition of mural paintings mostly dating back between the 9th to 12th centuries CE when this form of art enjoyed royal patronage. The characters in the murals are colored according to their characteristics as illustrated in the relevant Hindu mythological scriptures. Spiritual, divine and dharmic characters (satwika) are depicted in shades of green.
Those influenced towards power & materialistic wealth are painted in shades of red to golden yellow. Here I have painted the Radha Krishna which portrays an eternal love that existed between Lord Krishna and Radha. The love story of Radha Krishna is often interpreted as an eternal and majestic that goes beyond any realm. The tale of Radha Krishna Painting depicts a sacred relationship between two souls. Symbolic of unfathomable love and affection which surpasses the boundaries of the materialistic world, the Radha Krishna paintings are known to bring a similar bond between the married couples. These are the reasons that the representation of Radha Krishna is my favourite Indian traditional art. Hanging such artworks at the wall space of your home would offer an ecstatic and blissful environment around you. After all, there are multiple lessons that the enchanting story of these two supreme souls shower for us.
