Camels Acrylic Painting

I have always been in awe of camels, whenever I am in their presence, I find myself admiring their patience and endurance amongst the harsh vastness of the desert. Camels cherish their relationship with their care taker, they teach us that loyalty can last a lifetime and that changing conditions become irrelevant if you know how to adapt. Using light brush strokes, you can almost feel the texture of the camel wool against the sand-colored palette.

I decided to paint this work when I went to visit the camel farm at the beautiful oasis of Al Ain. There I saw these magnificent animals with their calves and it made me feel so much tenderness. But it also reminded me of how strong they grow up, and how they are linked to the history and life conditions in the Gulf. This experience showed me the beauty of the culture of the UAE. Deserts and camels are an important part of UAE culture When I saw this image I immediately thought of it as a beautiful painting to remember my years living here.
