Assembly of the Flowers: Lily is part of my series Naqsh-e-Safar—translated as “Footprints of the Journey”—a collection inspired by the vibrant visual language of Pakistani truck art. Growing up in Pakistan, I was immersed in a culture rich with color, symbolism, and storytelling, where art transforms everyday objects into powerful expressions of identity and emotion. This series pays tribute to that heritage while reflecting my own personal journey and connection to home.

In this piece, a gathering of stylized lilies comes together as a celebration of beauty, memory, and tradition. Each bloom represents a fragment of experience—a story, a conversation, or a cherished moment carried through time. The decorative patterns and vibrant composition echo the joyful spirit of truck art, known for its bold colors and intricate designs that communicate pride, resilience, and cultural identity.
