Mixed Media Painting

In Beauty of the Ordinary, Reem Hassan Sultan constructs a highly tactile visual landscape that challenges the viewer's perception of the mundane. Against a deep, pulsating field of crimson, a complex network of raised, liquid-gold grids and intersecting lines weaves across the surface, capturing and suspending dark, planetary spheres. By contrasting raw, highly structural impasto textures with the luminous luxury of metallic gold, Reem translates the chaotic, layered micro-patterns of daily life into a celestial tapestry. The work serves as a powerful testament to the inherent elegance found within structural chaos, urging us to find the extraordinary anchored within the ordinary.

Reem H. Sultan is an Abu Dhabi-based contemporary painter whose richly textured abstract works explore the fluid intersections of femininity, inner strength, and organic movement. Through a masterfully layered use of oils, acrylics, and resin, she translates the complexities of human emotion into evocative compositions that invite deep introspection while balancing a unique sense of power and calm.
