UAE Themed Acrylic Painting

This big acrylic on canvas was inspired by life in the UAE, its rich traditional and cultural way of life, focused on the desert animals of the falcon as the National Bird and the camel high up, the king of the desert, looking happy and content as if sailing by. Dates and the palm tree also native to the region are seen hanging from the right side. I used the knife for most of this painting, with a few strokes of the brush as well. The canvas was stretched on personalized wooden frame and primed. This can be removed conveniently to be rolled up for travel when needed. As an artist, I like to convey cheerful happy subjects, though meaningful, the work is always positive and hopeful. The modern high-rises of Dubai contrast against the desert landscape of the country. The Ruler declared ‘Our value in life is defined by what we do. Achievement is similar to love, they both grow by sacrifice and both are essential for life.’
