Flowers Alcohol Ink Painting

When you hear rose, you see red, and as much as I love myself a splash of red on my palette, there’s something about the quirk of blue in a flower that stands out to me. Blue shows trust, serenity and responsibility. It’s a color that I love for the way it simply makes anything look calmer and makes you feel instantly humbled. My thought process behind the fusion of blues with browns and pinks was to portray the contrasting effect it has to make a powerful color like pink and a royal brown. Yet again, with the use of alcohol inks, I have created a diffusion of different tones of blue to merge and flow into one another. With each swish of one shade merging into another, with each flower co depending on another, this painting makes me feel at comfort and at ease.
