“Monochromatic Optical Illusion” - 2013-ongoing- Acrylic - Monochromatic Op Art- 7 years long tug of war with this technique of work finally ended, series which she originally started back in 2013.

This series requires imagination, technique, precision, design, calculations, long hours, repetition and the list is endless. The reason why she decided to continue with this series of work, was simply because it satisfies her need to be perfect and fascination with philosophy, like light and dark, white and black, flawed and perfect at the same time.

The subject chosen to be painted under this technique, art the ones which have a very strong geometric element to it and an influence in her life in someway. The inspiration behind this series and technique has been one of her father’s geometrical paintings, that, she was in love with and used to admire a lot all throughout her childhood (woman’s front face profile painted ins different shades of green geometrically). Unfortunately, that painting got destroyed due to the rains. However, she still has the visual of that painting clear in her memory.
