Abstract Acrylic Painting

"Calm Amidst Chaos " expresses the resilience we need towards the ups and downs of life and difficult circumstances and choices we have to make. The color gradient brings balance and harmony, but also dynamism and energy to the emotions of the viewer. The center of the painting is created using acrylic paint with blue gradient shades from light blue to deep Prussian blue. The calmness of these colors reflect the deep ocean and the depth of our emotions as humans. This center calm is juxtaposed by the chaos and flow of the fluid art around it, representing the chaos that can sometimes occur in our lives. The fluid art created abstract koi fish dancing and flowing with the chaotic tides of the water. I used pouring medium, gel medium and water to achieve the fluidity of the acrylic paint and used a blow dryer to blow the paint our from the center outwards. To avoid any fluid paint from getting to the center, I used tape and plastic to protect the center piece while I did this. Once the fluid paint dried, I cut off the plastic and peeled off the tape to reveal the entire artwork.
