Christmas Acrylic Painting

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I named this artwork: “Christmas Nutcracker” because was inspired by the nutcracker dolls and it is a part of the Christmas spirit. In German tradition, these dolls are symbols of good luck, frightening away malevolent spirits. The faces as well are representing a human presence. Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more. It is the season of joy, of gift-giving, and of families united.

My artwork was executed in acrylic colors, adding most of the traditional colors and ornamentation of Christmas. Christmas always rustled. It rustled every time, mysteriously, with silver and gold paper, tissue paper, and a rich abundance of shiny paper, decorating and hiding everything and giving a feeling of reckless extravagance.
