Rājasthānī painting, the style of miniature painting that developed mainly in the independent Hindu states of Rājasthān in western India in the 16th–19th century. It evolved from Western Indian manuscript illustrations, though Mughal influence became evident in the later years of its development. I have used a camel for my Rajasthani miniature style inspired circular painting.

This painting has been made on a circular board. it has been bedecked using Kundan stones and a 3D gold liner. Many parts of jewelry and the cloth on the back of the elephant has been made using dot mandala. The background is a classic Mughal era geometric pattern and the border is made with clay. This painting is part of the set of 5 paintings that I created as ‘Animal series inspired by the Indian folk art forms’. The paintings can be used as a wall hanging, placed on a stand or used to create a custom wall.
