UAE Abstract Mixed Media Painting

UAE strives to preserve a cohesive society proud of its identity and sense of belonging. Thus promoting an amalgamation of cultures that integrates all segments of society while preserving the UAE’s rich & unique culture, heritage, and traditions while reinforcing social and family cohesion simultaneously. The umbrella of flags in the painting is symbolic of the melting pot of cultures present in the U.A.E & further does emphasize the concept of Unity & Tolerance. The UAE consists of seven emirates and was founded on 2 December 1971 as a federation. Six of the seven emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah) combined on that date. The seventh, Ras al Khaimah, joined the federation on 10 February 1972. UAE, its leadership, and people represent a combination of tolerance, harmony, respect, and acceptance of others. Tolerance is one of the deep-rooted values in the genuine community of UAE. This is a 3 Dimensional Mixed Media Painting done by me. I have used clay to mold & sculpt the skyline of Dubai. The buildings are painted in Bronze Acrylic color. The collage of flags is done by using the technique of Modge Podge. The colors of the UAE flag have been used by doing the spray technique. This 3D RELIEF PAINTING is done with Clay, texture & acrylic paints. The technique is Relief, a sculptural technique, where the sculpted elements(CLAY/ TEXTURE PASTE) remain attached to a solid background of the same material. The term relief MEANS to raise. To create a sculpture in relief is to give the impression that the sculpted material has been raised above the background plane.
