This painting is a depiction of divinity in dance through art. The cosmic dance of Shiva is called 'Anandatandava' meaning the Dance of Bliss. It symbolizes the interplay of dynamic and static divine energy flow, containing the five principles of eternal energy — creation, preservation, destruction, illusion and emancipation. The dance depicts the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction, as well as the daily rhythm of birth and death. The painting is done in shades of yellow, orange and red. The designs in the background are done beautifully which helps pop out the colors. The dancer is marvelously highlighted and the details are very vibrant. The artist has tried to bring out Indian art.
