Radha Krishna Painting

Radha Krishna is my favorite subject. Their love is truly eternal and divine. Krishna is so peaceful, calm, and dazed in his beloved Radha’s company that he is just playing his flute with his eyes closed. Radha is so mesmerized and captivated by his divine Aura that she just can’t take her eyes off him. The background depicts the resonance of acceptance of their subline love by the entire cosmos. It’s rightly said that Krishna is incomplete without his soulmate Radha besides him. That is why I wanted to paint both together, singing, dancing, playing in harmony with each other. As Krishna is often known as Shyam Sundar, his body has been painted with colors of blue. The eyes are made with pastel pencils and the jewelry is made with acrylics using the mandala dotting tools. Also in the background, the designs on the oil pastels have been done with Prismacolor pencils.
