Abstract Acrylic Painting

I named this painting Echoes of Teal because teal represents calm thoughts, those moments of peace that sneak in even when everything around feels a bit chaotic. It’s like your mind trying to stay still while the world keeps moving. I created Echoes of Teal using modelling paste to build texture, applying it with a palette knife before painting over it in different tones of teal.

Once the base was done, I added black lines and strokes freely, without overthinking. It felt natural, like letting my thoughts spill out on the canvas without needing to make perfect sense. This painting is special to me because it captures that contrast: the calmness I seek and the messiness I navigate daily. I hope it reminds anyone who sees it that it’s okay to feel a bit of both stillness and storminess all at once.
