Flowers Oil Painting

I painted this simply because I love flowers. Flowers are a universal symbol of beauty. They symbolize comfort, love and affection.

The flower vase in the painting is kept on a rusty gold plate in the dark with a gleam of light falling on the flowers, and to enhance this effect I chose a golden frame. The flowers painted are fresh and vibrant even though they are in a dark setting.

The flowers look delicate and welcoming at the same time. I want the viewer to see the warmth and an old-world charm in this picture. It took time to put in the details but I loved spending time with this one. I think there's some kind of nostalgia in this painting which I want the viewer to sense as well.
