Women Oil Painting

This oil-on-canvas work captures an intimate, serene moment of feminine grace, kinship, and quiet contemplation. The painting centers on shared sisterhood, adornment, and devotion to nature. By facing one figure inward and the other in a gentle downcast gaze, I have tried to evoke a sense of quiet dialogue, memory, and sacred everyday rituals of beauty. I have employed stylized features such as elongated almond-shaped eyes, sharply defined brows, and fluid silhouettes, juxtaposed against an abstract background to draw attention to the forms in the foreground.

Shraboni Banerji has had a passion for art since childhood. For her, painting is more like meditation and self-expression. Her artwork has a special combination of abstract and figures. Each of her paintings are conceptual and have a different story to tell. While her style is predominantly figurative, she weaves elements of nature into nearly every composition, honouring the essential role nature plays in our existence and grounding her work in the beauty of the world around us.
