Gotham City is an American city rife with corruption and crime. It is the home of its iconic protector Batman and villain Joker. Gotham is known to be architecturally modeled after New York City, but with exaggerated elements of the styles and derives its name from a sobriquet for that real-world city, first popularized by the author Washington Irving in his satirical work Salmagundi. It is one of the famous cities in the DC Universe and has varied in its portrayals over the decades, but the city's location is traditionally depicted as being in the state of New Jersey. Batman and the Joker would not exist if it wasn’t for Gotham City. Though it was still plagued with a crime in the early years, Gotham City was not meant to be the dystopia of corruption it would later become. Though it still had an endless supply of mobsters and criminals and plenty of dangerous neighborhoods, it also was meant to be just like a typical metropolis.

Sadia Fahad is a contemporary artist whose abstract works utilize bold palette knife techniques and acrylics to capture the raw textures of nature. Her dynamic compositions reflect a personal journey of discovery, blending striking color combinations to create art pieces rich in depth and movement.
