Tiger Sketch Artwork

Crafted in graphite and charcoal on A2-sized paper, Guided by Grace tenderly captures the profound bond between a parent and child in the wild.

The larger tiger, steady and watchful, embodies the quiet strength and unwavering protection of a parent. Nestled close, the younger tiger leans in with trust and affection — a gesture of pure dependence and deep emotional connection. The soft interplay of light and shadow accentuates not just the powerful forms of these majestic creatures but the invisible thread of care and reassurance that connects them. The dark background brings focus to their closeness, symbolizing how love and guidance illuminate even the darkest paths.

This monochrome work speaks of nurture, safety, and the silent promises shared between a parent and child — promises of presence, of strength, and of unconditional love.

Smitashree Balaji is a versatile, UAE-based artist whose work masterfully navigates between the structured precision of monochromatic charcoal sketches and the vibrant fluidity of abstract mixed media. Her soulful portfolio, which draws inspiration from cultural motifs and natural resilience, captures the delicate balance between serene realism and expressive energy.
