Mixed Media Painting

I prefer to work in the dark, as much as possible. By not working with color, I have the freedom to let myself be guided by shadows and contours. Lines and imagination. Accidents and surprises-the very unpredictability of art, which wouldn't be art without them. The hidden move that reveals nothing, Edges that do not touch, words that never begin-only strokes that eventually vanish. Disrupt the balance on one side, and the void in its mirror image fills the gap; there is more at the edge than at the center, and so the divine idea of breaking the harmony emerges. There is no turning back. The distance from the center of the missing eye to the signature of the coming hour is the same; this signals that it is finished.

All that remains is to understand when to start over, or whether I should begin to write. Technical Note & Materials: A mixed media artwork created on a fully handcrafted support. The wooden stretcher and canvas were built by hand by the artist, followed by the application of a textured stucco base that gives the background depth and structural character. The organic shapes are crafted using preserved artificial moss, meticulously applied to provide a three-dimensional and tactile quality that directly engages with the artwork's core concept.
