Rooster Chinese Brush Painting

This circular composition depicts a playful conversation between the guardian of time, the rooster, and the small praying mantis. In this artwork, I have tried to work with minimal elements, but to execute each brushstroke carefully and precisely to convey character, movement, and emotional presence. Every mark in Chinese brush painting is intentional and irreversible, making the process both meditative and highly disciplined, not leaving any room for error. This technique relies on variations in pressure, speed, and ink or watercolor pigment load to create form, texture, and movement in a single and final gesture. The Chinese calligraphy, in case you are wondering, contains the title and the date, and the red stamp is my name in Mandarin.
