Kufic Mahal (Print)

Irfan Shaikh

The Kufic script is a style of Arabic script that gained prominence early on as a preferred script for Quran transcription and architectural decoration, and it has since become a reference and an archetype for a number of other Arabic scripts. The calligraphy of the Taj Mahal mainly consists of verses and passages from the holy book of the Quran. It was done by inlaying jasper in the white marble panels. These passages were inscribed by Amanat Khan in an illegible Thuluth script. A number of the panels also bear his signatures.

My art prints are digital print art on canvas paper using quality printers guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. All art prints include a white border around the image. This 91x61 white frame has a thin edge with a profile that has a traditional look. The plastic front protection is safe and does justice to the motif.
