This painting is part of a series dedicated to dragons. The artist has long lived in the Far East and has been greatly influenced by their traditions. Reds, fire, and action are omnipresent in the painting to symbolize the dragon. Unlike Europe, where the dragon is considered a generator of chaos, the Far East associates dragons with fertility, happiness, and heaven.

Chris Barley used pouring and fluid techniques that give off a lot of energy. This dragon painting invites the viewer to plunge into an imaginary world where dragons clash in legendary battles.
