In 2024, the artist Deeride unveiled a powerful series titled Broken. Rooted in the philosophy of embracing flaws, the collection was inspired by Kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Each piece in the series appears fractured, yet is delicately highlighted with gold or colored foil, drawing attention to the “broken” parts not as flaws, but as elements that enhance the artwork’s beauty. These details serve as a poignant reminder that our imperfections are integral to our stories—they are what make us unique, resilient, and beautiful.

The Broken series speaks to themes of self-love, healing, and acceptance. To make this message more accessible, Deeride also created a limited set of Broken Minis—smaller, more affordable pieces that carry the same emotional depth and visual impact as the larger works. These minis offer collectors a chance to own a piece of the story, no matter their budget, and to be reminded daily of the beauty in imperfection.

This piece is inspired by the intense colors of lava and volcanic eruptions, featuring rich tones of orange and deep brown to evoke the raw, elemental power of nature.
