Life Watercolor Painting

I was inspired to make this beautiful gouache watercolor painting while contemplating the relationship between the world of the womb, comparing it to this world that awaits an embryo. My kids were very young then and I was contemplating life and its gifts. This painting expresses the welcome of a child into this world from that of the womb, and can also be looked at as an entry into the world beyond.

First, I splashed colors onto the sheet, then step by step created shapes out of the suggested impressions that I imagined. In the center is the baby in the womb, ignorant of the gifts that await him in this world, the various gifts that nature will provide to fulfill hunger, warmth, love, care of the mother. The eye in the sky symbolizes the overall presence of the supernatural. The two worlds are distinct, but still in the same world. It has several layers of paint and is finally varnished to fix the whole work so that it is waterproof. It is a concentrated piece, with a lot of content covered in this relatively small artwork. The viewers can enjoy this even without having any explanation, taking away from this the beauty of nature, and the little child in the center.
