Floral Mixed Media Painting

This reddish-brown hued painting is an artwork that finds the origins of its inspirations from the mammoth mountains and canyons of Arizona. This artwork is inspired by my travels to the States and is a representation of the beautiful canyon structures that Stand tall beside the Colorado river. The cohesive nature of these different hues seeks to embody the different wavelengths and depths the actual Canyons display. Thus, the name melody rings true for this image as the harmony of these mahogany shades almost seem to be in a symphony of sorts emitting a melody only true nature lovers can revel in.

I have once again tried to combine my two passions, that are travel and alcohol inks to visually bring to life one of nature's most marvelous structures. I have tried to radiate a certain level of simplicity by using shades of a similar color in order to not take away focus from the overall painting. Such an artwork is sure to liven up any space living room or bedroom, by bringing in a subtle yet contemporary touch to monochromatic paintings.
