Manhattan Photography Print

'Manhattan Harbour' is part of the ‘States 23’ Prints collection. This piece was taken while Dominik was exploring New York City in November 2023. He captured these images while he was on one of many of his breathtaking New York City photo walks. This is a collection of his favorite shots taken. Dominik captured this photo when he was taking the Staten Island Ferry from Staten Island back to Manhattan. Dominik had planned on taking the ferry on many previous trips to New York but never got the opportunity. He insisted this time on taking a day off from working in the studio every day to go and look at the beautiful architecture that New York City has to offer.

Dominik wanted to make all images that he captured in black and white not be cold-toned. He wanted these images to still be warm and have a sepia tint to them. This photo was not edited or retouched. It was taken straight from Dominik’s camera and the results were mesmerizing. The collaboration between the dated wharf and the modern-day high-rise buildings shows how the many different eras of New York City come together to create this architectural masterpiece.
