Paris Oil Painting

My artwork isn't just a painting, it's a memory, a beautiful time spend in the dreamy city of Paris. I believe its not only me but anyone who looks at it can relate to their experiences of Paris.

I created this remembering the moment I stood on one of the bridges over River Seine. Its a dark late winter evening but the city is still full of life. The cars are moving around over and under the bridge. The light effect is created to illuminate the Notre Dame. I specially love the way the cars under the bridge turned out.

The effects of the light falling on the dark waters of Seine can be seen. It's actually so much of a contrast between the lights of the city and the darkness of the river underneath it. I have used just three colors to create this artwork. Yellow, black and white. I believe the viewer sees my passion for Paris in this artwork.
