Painting on Rugs Collection #2: My World Rugs hold a unique narrative, woven with the maker's touch and infused with the essence of life. Inspired by the rich history of rug-making across civilizations, I embarked on a creative journey to express the human experience through fabric painting. In "My World," I envisioned a vibrant tapestry of people from diverse backgrounds, united in their pursuit of positivity and life's journey. The fabric colors harmonize with the rug's natural hues, symbolizing the blending of cultures and stories. Using predominantly white to define the human form, I added splashes of red, orange, blue, green, and yellow to represent the diversity of race and character. By leaving areas of the original rug's weave untouched, I aimed to preserve the authenticity of the craft. This rug represents my vision for a world where peace, happiness, and colorfulness thrive. It's a narrative woven and painted, telling a story of unity, hope, and the beauty of diversity.
