Architecture Oil Painting

My obsession with antique doors, their historical significance, and weathered rustic appearances led me to create this collection where I use various mediums to create unique texture in my art. It reminded me of how there is beauty in decay. How humans getting old come with so much history, soul and wisdom. I immediately got inspired to create a collection entitled Doors with Soul. These doors are located in various cities around the world with their own heritage and history. The collection entitled “Doors with Soul” includes an oil painting, acrylic paint and mix media on cotton canvases and colored pencil artwork on acid free Strathmore 400 series artist paper in various dimensions. Mysteries Of the Past was inspired by a photo found on Pinterest. I loved the color palette of the pink, rustic orange and yellow captured by the sun’s reflection. I used oil paint to paint this on cotton canvas.
