Light Painting Art

In 2020, Roywang visied the China Porcelain House Museum, a new landmark of Tianjin and even China created by Mr. Zhang Lianzhi. Filled with mystery and fused with porcelain architecture, a Qingluan -as if flying from ancient times to the present day-landed here, drifting and experiencing a dialogue between time and space. This work won the Gold Award at the Hans Christian Andersen Art Award in 2022.

Hailed as China’s leading light-painting artist, Roy Wang pioneers a Chinese Romantic aesthetic, reviving mythical creatures from the ancient classic Shan Hai Jing across modern architectural skylines. Holding four Guinness World Records, his viral creations use light as a brush and the night as a canvas, captured entirely in-camera without any digital manipulation or post-processing.
