Nature Mixed media Painting

I have always been fascinated by this miracle of nature. How can the sky be lit up with such vibrant colors? How can the sky glow like a million jewels bedecking it? These questions were unanswered for so long till I was a child. And when I finally learnt the science behind it, it was on my bucket list. I am always subconsciously praying that I can go to places where I can camp and watch these lights one day. They amaze me every time I look at them anywhere (movies, pictures, paintings). This painting has been made on pastel paper entirely with oil pastels. The richness of this medium can be easily seen in the vibrancy of colors in the sky. This painting gives a bright look to anyplace it will be hung in the house.
