Mixed Media Painting

This painting was born from the beautiful contradiction - the constant pull between structure and spontaneity or sometimes chaos, between the plans we set and the unpredictable forces that reshape them. The title Organised Chaos captures that duality perfectly. Working with acrylics layered over textured imprints, I built a dense, grid-like surface that speaks to order and control, then surrendered parts of the canvas to gravity—letting deep crimson drips cascade freely down the left side. A glowing red-orange ember bleeds from the upper corner into cool indigos and teals, mimicking heat dissolving into night. I want the viewer to lean in, to feel the tension between the rigid cellular pattern and the organic flow of paint beneath it. There is calm inside the disorder if you look closely enough. This piece mirrors the rhythm of finding harmony within life's beautiful unpredictability.
