Peacock Mixed Media Painting

Peacock is the national bird of India. Peacock was chosen as the national bird as it signifies beauty and grace. Peacock is one of the most beautiful birds on earth. Peacocks usually have blue color, and their feathers have a mixture of blue, green and golden colors. Peacocks are found in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Africa etc. Peacocks look attractive due to their colorful feathers. Having seen a peacock in its full glory (that is when it had its feather drawn up like it’s ready to dance made me itch to paint this beautiful bird on my canvas). I have tried to capture the same emotions in this painting where the feathers and grass have been given depth and volume by using Sgraffito.
