“Petal Rush” celebrates change, color, and emotion. I painted this piece on canvas using oil paints during the quiet shift between winter and spring a moment that always brings me a burst of joy and fresh energy. This painting is my way of channelling those feelings and turning them into something visual and vibrant.

The petals aren’t meant to be perfect or exact they’re expressive, layered, and full of movement. The bold, overlapping colors represent a rush of emotions I was feeling at the time: excitement, hope, and a kind of warmth that only comes when the cold starts to fade and everything feels new again. It was my way of welcoming spring and embracing the idea of fresh possibilities and a positive start to the year. Every stroke in this painting carries a little piece of that inner joy an invitation to feel uplifted, even for a moment.

Petal Rush isn’t just about flowers; it’s about how color can reflect what we feel on the inside, especially when we're stepping into something new.
