Claude Monet's House Oil Painting

A visit to the great painter’s house in Giverny, France. From every corner of the globe, people come to contemplate the colorful home of Monet where life imitates art. Inside his house, his amazing artworks are displayed for visitors to admire and outside they may stroll through the gardens, ponds and water lilies that inspired many of his creations. As my niece Mathilde curiously explores Monet’s gardens, I wonder if she’ll come to understand that although she stands where great art came to life, I draw inspiration from her to bring a playful aspect to my painting. The canvas holds a varied palette of vivid colors depicting a wall of the garden where many flowers grow. For the gravel path I used texture which gives a touch of realism to the artwork.
