Poetry and Pieces is a soulful tapestry of handwritten thoughts, fragments of dreams, and textured layers. Through this mixed media work, I explore the quiet chaos and beauty of self-reflection. Each mark, phrase, and brushstroke becomes a remnant of lived experience, a mosaic of emotions, memories, and revelations. While deeply personal, the piece also invites viewers to pause and find fragments of their own stories within the scattered layers. Built through an intuitive and highly layered process, my work work combines acrylics, texture mediums, recycled fragments, handwritten notes, paper remnants, and found materials woven into the surface over time..

Texture, transfers, raw marks, and embedded elements become part of the visual language, creating depth, movement, and traces of what was once hidden or left behind. I’m deeply drawn to the idea of transformation, which is why recycled materials often find their way into my work. I enjoy giving discarded pieces a renewed presence and meaning within the composition. For me, these layered textures symbolize resilience, imperfection, memory, and renewal. Much like life itself, the artwork unfolds through uncertainty, intuition, and discovery, revealing that meaning often emerges quietly through the layers we carry within us. I hope this piece allows its viewers to pause, reflect, and perhaps reconnect with fragments of their own stories along the way.

Sanili Saha is a soulful visual artist and educator whose acrylic and mixed media works are deeply rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai.
