Abstract Acrylic Painting

This is an abstract painting. I used bright UV reflective colors that glow coming out of field of deep rich blue that is layered. The orange and deep violet sets on this rich blue background and pops through. The shapes are inspired by calligraphy although there is no specific lettering. Swirling through the unknown they draw the viewer in and radiate positive energy. I find working abstractly I can focus on the design principals such as movement and rhythm. Shape form color, space and contrast. I can focus on the feeling or intention instead of an object or person. A deeper connection to our inner universe. I find it meditative and therapeutic. I also practice qigong and energy work so this enables me to extrude my energy into the painting itself.
