This painting, "Reflections of Serenity " by Krishna Kuunjikrishnan, created in acrylics with a richly textured surface, blends realism and abstraction to evoke both the visible and emotional landscape. Layers of color and texture bring depth to the foliage and the gentle ripples of the water, while the semi-abstract forms invite the viewer to feel, rather than merely see, the rhythm of nature.

The inspiration for this piece came from my visit to Canada, where I was deeply moved by the unspoiled beauty of its landscapes, endless stretches of forest, glistening streams, and the tranquil grace of free-roaming horses. The memory of that serene moment, when sunlight filtered through the trees and the horses bent their heads to drink, stayed with me long after I returned.

Through this painting, I wanted to capture not only the visual beauty of that scene but also the stillness and harmony that nature offers when life slows down. This painting is a tribute to those fleeting moments of peace that remind us of our bond with the living world, a gentle dialogue between motion and rest, strength and calm, earth and spirit.
