Abstract Artwork

The painting is a depiction of the freedom of physical movement and the colours of the soul which are now freed. The use of the cycle denoted the simplicity of life during the year of lockdowns and lack of mobility. It reflects an individual’s ability to express their free-spiritedness after months of stagnation. The painting also captures how people were forced to be patient as they waited for their country to return to normalcy. The black and white stripes in the background symbolize this patience, while also representing the blackouts from which we suffered during those dark days. I have used a lot of green color patches. It's no secret that green is the color of life. It represents living, freshness, and new beginnings. The red colour indicates that there was hope in our hearts; it reminds us that we were never defeated by this tragedy, but rather came out stronger than before.
