Birds Watercolor Painting

There is an old saying that if you see a flamingo, it is a sign to cut off all negative things from your life. Flamingos are symbols of happiness. The word flamingo is derived from the Spanish and Latin word flamenco, which means fire. It signifies the bright colors of the birds' feathers. My painting works along this theme. The fierce orange symbolizes the origin of this species’ name and the serene purple undertones symbolize the animal itself, peaceful and happy. Here's another fun fact for you! Flamingos find strength in numbers for breeding success. These are birds that do not live in small flocks but prosper with large groups. This is a clear indication of strength lying in unity. My painting is a sight of two flamingos quenching their thirst during the golden hour of the sunset, near a lake, over which there are blossom trees whose bright flowers reflect in the water. Oh to be a flamingo! It's said that Flamingos also symbolize balance, openness to others, and an open heart. So, the next time you see a flamingo, make sure to halt for a minute from your busy lives to appreciate all that you have and release all your negative energy.
