The Statue of Liberty is synonymous with the land of apples. The Statue of Liberty in Staten Island causes a very intoxicating feeling. The feeling of achievement for a student/researcher for higher studies and a career who aspires to be there. She is an icon, a national treasure, and one of the most recognizable figures in the world. Each year, millions who cherish her ideals make the journey to experience her history and grandeur in person. She is a symbol of freedom, inspiration, and hope.

In the ongoing struggle for these causes, the Statue's image can convey hope and encouragement, but it can also be a bitter symbol for promises unfulfilled. From the patriot to the refugee, the dissident to the disenfranchised, many who seek liberty continue to look to the Statue. Throughout the years, the USA, NYC in particular, has seen much turbulence from mobsters, 9/11, deserted streets during a pandemic, arsons, and great celebrations too, and shall continue to see. The artwork used a dissolving mix of colors and wavy strokes, showing the dynamics of Manhattan. I have changed the posture of the statue into a posture of defending NYC. A nice piece to decorate the wall with an inspiring feeling to achieve greater heights.
