Mixed Media Painting

By observing something that is motionless, one can understand how it moved to where it now stands. One can surmise and comprehend; one can divine the intention, even if it was never explicitly spelled out. That is the moment it happens: the observer becomes art, just as if they were the one who created it. It is not the work itself that makes it strikingly unique, but the eye that judges it all. One believes to understand the first reason, the second begins to complicate, and it is just when everything seems to be understood that the curious question appears, and nothing makes sense anymore.

The sand settles in the wind, the memory that used to hurt unseen blows more slowly. A banner wavers, feeling no cold, covers itself with nothing, and feels at home. There is more than enough fire for communal cooking, yet there is something that has no coat, that does feel the chill, and shouts nothing at all. The sand has settled, nothing blows anymore, the clothes seem grayer than last week. The sun looks as if it emerged from the bonfire; if it had no soul, I would say it had dropped its sorrow. It only wishes to follow the line that leads those traveling in pairs toward autumn, without skipping spring. Technical Note & Materials: A mixed media artwork created on a fully handcrafted support. The wooden stretcher and canvas were built by hand by the artist, followed by the application of a textured stucco base that gives the background depth and structural character. The organic shapes are crafted using preserved artificial moss, meticulously applied to provide a three-dimensional and tactile quality that directly engages with the artwork's core concept.
