Emirati Bedouin Painting

The simple act of reciting Subhanallah is a way to glorify Allah..to show appreciation and be grateful for all the blessings he's bestowed in our life. The UAE has long been a melting pot of cultures with over 200 nationalities calling it home today. In the past, Emirati traditions varied between 2 main groups: desert-dwelling nomads called Bedouins and seafaring pearl divers & fishermen. These villages have now evolved to form a modern, multicultural society with a population of over 9 million.

Emirati culture is a blend of Arabian, Islamic, and Persian cultures, with influences from cultures of E. Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Islam has had a prominent influence on local architecture, music, attire, cuisine, and lifestyle. Some of the distinct features of the UAE's heritage are hospitality, tolerance, family cohesion & solidarity among members of the society along with honor and pride.  As HH Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE, noted in his National Day address, identity is a framework that ‘shapes our attitude towards our surroundings and defines the direction’. Despite changes in lifestyle, the core of Emirati traditions and culture remains unchanged and has evolved into a better version of the past.. to which we appreciate & say "Subhanallah".
