Sunset Acrylic Painting

This evocative landscape painting captures a moment of profound serenity, centered on a solitary tree overlooking a vast, shimmering horizon. It is derived from my own deep desire to live near the ocean someday. I have employed horizontal, layered brushstrokes to create the illusion of light reflecting off water, contrasting with the solid, textured outline of the tree. The heavy use of silhouette against the brilliant sunset is used to add a sense of drama, while the inclusion of a simple bench in the foreground adds a touch of nostalgia. The painting is meant to convey a deep sense of solitude and contemplation. The thought behind the piece suggests a pause in time—a quiet invitation to sit and witness the transition of day into night. Inspired by the duality of nature,

I have balanced the warmth of a setting sun with the cooling shadows of the earth. It is my exploration of peace, reflecting the beauty found in stillness and the restorative power of a quiet, majestic view. As a self-taught artist,

Shraboni Banerji has had a passion for art since childhood. For her, painting is more like meditation and self-expression. Her artwork has a special combination of abstract and figures. Each of her paintings are conceptual and have a different story to tell. While her style is predominantly figurative, she weaves elements of nature into nearly every composition, honouring the essential role nature plays in our existence and grounding her work in the beauty of the world around us.
