This painting is a very colorful and peaceful one it gives many meanings at the same time. The turtle is a symbol of patience, humanity peace, and emotional strength in the Old Arab believes. In the Native American folklore, it is the symbol of longevity wisdom, and good luck, in their believes the turtle carries the weight of the world on her back and holding the world in balance. Rafah used many colors to express her emotions and feeling in her paintings. The blue color gives the painting a very calm atmosphere as well as green and purple. To balance her painting she added warm colors like red and yellow. to give the meaning of peaceful coexistence she added many different sea creatures and put them together like the small orange and yellow fishes. She used different kinds of mediums to show her painting, she used gesso to give the turtle its 3d shape, and then She applied her lovely oil colors.
