The White Head Eagle ‘The mighty white preached on a height, So glorious its stance, its flight, Swiftly devoured the prey in sight, Gliding magically like a soaring kite’. The great Whitehead Eagle is a captivating creature that rules the skies in Northern America. Its dark brown body in contrast with its white head and tail gives the bird of prey a majestic and powerful appearance. The second painting from my Birds Series, the Whitehead Eagle is an Original Acrylic painting, created on stretched canvas, with muted tones in the background to accentuate the beauty of the beautiful creature perched on a high branch. The inspiration behind painting the White-Head eagle is the looming threat to their existence. Like many other birds of prey, they are reducing in number, as their habitat and source of food have drastically been affected by deforestation. The Majestic Eagle has since long reduced in numbers and been on the list of endangered species. Through our effort and art, I wish to try and bring a sense of awareness to these majestic birds and help preserve their beauty for our future generations to enjoy and experience.
