Mixed Media Painting

This mixed media & epoxy resin artwork tells the story of inner emergence and of how beauty is not formed despite pressure, but because of it. What once lay compressed and fractured beneath the crushing weight of the layers above, under pressure, has now emerged luminous and sparkles with brilliance. It is a reminder that what appears fractured may, in fact, be in the process of becoming extraordinary. Amethyst being my favorite stone and color, formed the basis for my inspiration of this artwork. The result of my creation was this amethyst explosion.
