Nature Acrylic Painting

This is an acrylic painting using the technique of blocked in and glazing before the additional details are added on to the subjects. This painting is the artist's rendition of the scenic Hunza Valley in Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan. The artist has chosen to paint the autumn season of the valley, which boasts of various seasonal colors all year round but the autumnal colors are exceptionally a sight to behold! The artist has used the shades of titanium white and light blue violet to paint the sky and the clouds. The middle ground of the tall, birch trees, the artist has used the rustic shades of raw umber and unbleached titanium. The rugged, stony bricks of the walls are painted in tones of raw umber, ivory black and whites.

For the foreground, that is the extensive and widespread carpet of autumnal leaves, the artist has utilized the expressive palette of warm colors of cadmium red burnt orange, alizarin crimson and cadmium yellow and orange. The long path covered with fallen, autumn leaves on the ground gives a solidarity essence of a crispy, chilly autumn afternoon, in which the artist hopes the viewer will imagine on how the crunch of the leaves would sound beneath his/her footsteps. Note: There's a hook attached behind for easy hanging.
