From the 'Little People' series. This was my personal challenge to create 100 portraits from people around the world. Introducing Yazhen, created using watercolor paints and watercolor marker.

I am fascinated by the human face and it’s depth of expressions. Each face has a story hidden behind it. In each painting of mine, I try to captures details of my subjects, such as their soft skin, eyes, and flowing hair. I have used real photographs as the starting point to my painting, but keeping true to my style, I wanted to present each portrait uniquely. With each painting, I want the portrait to speak to you, their expressions to grab your attention, as you start to see yourself in the characters I have painted. I want the vibe of each painting to stay with you, as you go through your days.
