In this work, both the front and reverse sides of the same vintage haori fabric are used to create a visual interpretation of balance — the ancient Eastern concept of Yin and Yang. The two contrasting surfaces, originally hidden from one another, are brought together in a deliberate composition that reflects the harmonious duality present in nature and life. A fine gold leaf line runs through the center, accentuating the division and connection between the two halves.
